I’ve recently completed work on redevelopmentlending.com. Okay, not really, but I’ve recently found a few spare moments to write about it. I mentioned the site’s logo with a background image earlier. This is the first site I’ve worked on where I wasn’t the designer.

I was approached by a friend on behalf of Omni National Bank to finish the flash site that was already online. As flash isn’t my bag, I offered to retool the site in XHTML/CSS. I made only minor changes to the design.

I did retain a small bit of flash from the original site. The site has sections for five different states. In each, there is a skyline of a city from that state. Behind the skyline is a scrolling sky. It was a new and interesting challenge working in flash. I had some help getting started from Justin Sharp. I eventually managed to separate the sky from the skylines, and dynamically load a specific skyline on top of the sky by passing the flash movie a variable.
